Driven to make an even greater impact, she earned her Master’s degree at Allen College and became an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice—helping patients at every stage of life, from internal medicine to family care throughout Central Iowa.

Frustrated by the gaps in traditional medicine, Alyson pursued advanced Functional Medicine training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, equipping her to address not just symptoms, but also the root causes affecting each patient’s quality of life. Today, as co-owner of Synergy Health in Johnston, Alyson helps patients move past roadblocks and toward holistic wellness, offering science-based, integrative solutions in a caring, non-judgmental environment.
